Alaska First!

Yes, the Alaska Independence Party, which, according to its website, can be summed up in two words: "Alaska First!"

I'd like to take a moment now to sigh, close my eyes, maybe watch a movie or do something that isn't tune into the nonsense that is currently passing for the 2008 Presidential election.



Now then (and I finally saw The Dark Knight this afternoon on a very very large screen, so it's on my mind): what in the world is happening to the GOP? Have they given up being the evil villains to the indept Democratic do-gooders or what? The main premise of The Dark Knight seems to be that Heath Ledger/The Joker is really really scary and evil and threatening ... well..?
